Alexandria, VA Restaurant Week- A Foodie's Guide

As Washington (DC) Metropolitan Week comes to a close, Alexandria is tapping in for the encore. So don’t worry if by chance you missed some deals. Alexandria’s restaurant week runs from January 17-26, featuring meals from $15-35 for lunch, brunch and dinner. With over 40 restaurants, you’ll be sure to find a spot for solo dining or a date night (even if that’s with your friend(s)] Below are a few suggested spots, but be sure to check them all out for yourself!

Augie’s Mussel House

I absolutely love mussels and this restaurant does not disappoint with a variety of choices to choose from. They offer a $15 lunch and $35 dinner. The only question you should be having is who are you taking with you so you won’t have to choose just one type of mussels!

City Kitchen

With a variety of options ranging from artichokes to chicken picatta, you’re sure to get a meal that makes you feel at home. Offering a $35 dinner, you’ll have to be sure to save some space for dessert because the caramel brownie cheesecake is worth the trip by itself!

Diya Indian Cuisine

A perfect spot for date night, they boast a prefix menu with tons of options for just $35 for dinner for two! They also offer a three course lunch for $15! From chicken to okra, goat to lamb, they have options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike.

Hen Quarter

For $15 you can enjoy lunch weekdays until 3pm or dinner for $35. Offering items from chicken and waffles to stew, each bite is worth another. Check them out during some of their weekly specials to double up on the food and drinks.

La Tasca

One of my favorite places for tapas, they’re offering lunch for $22 ( 4 tapas) and dinner (unlimited) for $35! Such a great deal for the extent of the menu. My favorites include calamari, tuna, patatas bravas, and escalibada.

Oak Steakhouse

This popular steakhouse boast a full range of menu items including lobster bisque, king salmon, and the steak Diane. Make sure to make reservations, as it fills up quickly!

The Wharf

Finally a place to brunch! The Wharf is offering all three— lunch, brunch, and dinner during restaurant week. The possibilities are endless, see for yourself. From crab cakes to lobster rolls, french toast to she crab soup you’ll want to go back to experience every menu.
