Happy St. Patrick's Day: Cocktail Recipes to Get You in the Holiday Spirit!

We could all use a bit of luck right now! I mean, after all it’s 5 o’clock somewhere and with bars closed it’s time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at home. You can make these simple cocktails, pair it with some corned beef and cabbage or indulge in Taco Tuesday. Whatever it may be, I hope you indulge!

Irish Mule

This spin on the classic Moscow Mule is super simple and easy to make at home! My favorite is Jameson, but you can use any whiskey.

What you’ll need:

2 oz. whiskey

1 oz. lime juice

1 fresh lime wedge

2 sprigs fresh mint

6–8 oz. ginger beer

How to:

1) Muddle the whiskey, lime juice, lime, and mint together.

2) Pour into a copper mug or glass with ice.

3) Top with ginger beer, stir and serve. Garnish with additional mint or lime.

Jameson Margarita

Frozen is my preference, but you can serve over ice! We all love tequila, but today we’re taking a break from tradition and swapping for whiskey.

What you’ll need:

2 oz. whiskey

2 oz. pineapple juice

1 oz. lime juice

1 fresh lime wedge

Ice

How to:

1) In a blender, mix all ingredients and blend until smooth and icy.

2) Garnish with wedge and serve.

Whiskey Sour

One of my happy hour go to drinks can be simply made at home! Combine whiskey, simple syrup and lemon juice and it’ll be better than bar service!

What you’ll need:

2 oz. whiskey

1 oz. fresh lemon juice

1 oz. simple syrup

Orange slice (for garnish)

How to:

1) Combine one cup sugar to one cup water in a saucepan and bring to a boil until sugar is dissolved. Store in fridge in a glass jar ( can last up to one month).

2) Combine all ingredients into shaker and pour over ice. Garnish with orange slice and serve.
